TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On November 11 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received information that Jessica A. Hudson, 38, 1234 Bigwoods Starks Rd., Vinton, was having sexual intercourse with a 15 year old boy.

The investigation revealed Hudson started having sexual intercourse with the boy in January when he was 14 and again during the summer months at least a couple of times a week when the boy was 15. Hudson confirmed the allegations.

CPSO looking for man in connection with Burglary & Theft of vehicle in Vinton

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On June 28, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a vehicle burglary that occurred at a home on Foster Brothers Road in Vinton.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who advised during the night, two credit cards were stolen from inside her SUV that was parked at the home.

During the investigation, deputies received video surveillance footage which captured a man using the victim’s stolen credit cards to make unauthorized purchases at several Vinton and Sulphur businesses.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On June 16, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were dispatched to a Sulphur business regarding former employee, James E. Ellis, 22, 5739 Lisa Lane, Vinton, and Bradley S. Courmier, 22, 661 Mustang Street, Sulphur, charging over $2,000 on the business credit account at several Sulphur stores to purchase power tools for personal use without the permission of the business.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 11, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched the area of Goodwin and Stevenson Street in Vinton regarding a suspicious man removing several tools from a wooded area.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the man, identified as Charles K. Bruno, 53, 1617 Vincent Street, Vinton, and discovered he was in possession of several tools including a torque wrench, wrench set, a drill bit set and a socket set, valued at over $1,100, which did not belong to him.

Deputies also recovered a fishing rod and reel in a nearby ditch. During further investigation, deputies discovered Bruno had an active warrant for contempt of court on unrelated charges. Bruno was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and released on April 16.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Sunday, April 20, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a casino on Highway 109 South in Vinton, in reference to an armed robbery in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the two victims who advised while sitting inside their vehicle in the parking lot of the casino, they were approached by two men, later identified as Darius M. Mikel, 19, Houston, and Jacoven D. Levi, 19, Orange, Texas, who was armed with a handgun, and demanded money.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 17, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Vinton convenience store in reference to a report of a vehicle theft.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who advised she left her SUV running and unlocked in the store parking lot while she went inside to make a purchase.  When the victim exited the store, she found her SUV was missing.

During the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance video from the store which captured a man, later identified as Lucas J. Vincent, 33, 1541 W. Burton Street, Sulphur, walk out of the store as the victim entered, enter the victims SUV and drive off.

CAT Team makes Pot Bust on I-10

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 18, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Detective Sgts. Stuart Henderson and Jason O’Rouke conducted a stop on a car traveling eastbound on I-10 between Vinton and Sulphur for a traffic violation.

When the driver of the car, Deangelo C. Wright, 22, and passenger Curtis G. White, 44, both of South Carolina, began to act suspiciously, Sgt. Henderson allowed his trained and certified drug detection K-9 “Tonja” to conduct a free air sniff around the car.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested a second person, Andrew C. Gobert, 19, 2705 Linkswiller Road, Lake Charles, for throwing large pieces of broken concrete and wood debris off of Fabacher Overpass on I-10 near Vinton. The debris hit vehicles traveling on I-10, resulting in several injuries and over $10,000 in damages to thirteen vehicles during the early morning hours between February 12-14.

CPSO detectives previously arrested Dalton J. Jaquillard on February 18, who was with Gobert, for the same offense. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 7 counts of aggravated assault and 8 counts of aggravated criminal damage to property. Judge Robert Wyatt set his bond at $60,000.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 30, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched regarding a complaint of a suspicious pick-up truck at a home on Highway 109 in Vinton.

Upon arrival, deputies observed a truck matching the description with a utility trailer containing a washing machine, mattress, entertainment console, and a dolly, backed up to the porch of the home. Deputies also discovered the back door of the home had been forced open.
