ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On July 10, 2013, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched after receiving a report from a woman advising on numerous occasions in the past two weeks, she has observed convicted sex offender James L. Braxton, 38, 205 Moss Street, #7, Lake Charles, near her place of employment, home and other places in the area. Deputies discovered Braxton was convicted of forcibly raping the victim in April 2001 in Calcasieu Parish.

The victim also advised Braxton recently went to her home and knocked on her door. When she opened the door and saw Braxton, she pepper sprayed him and he fled the home.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 6, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report from a woman advising since February, she has received numerous threatening and intimidating phone calls from Robert L. Bergeron, III, 46, 735 Jacob Scott Drive, Sulphur, and he has also been following her to her home after work.

After further investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Bergeron, and on March 12, Bergeron was located and arrested without incident. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of stalking and released on a $20,000 bond set by Judge Ron Ware.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies re-arrested Terry L. Tuttle, 50, 583 I-10 Mobile Village Road, Lot # 241, Iowa, after he violated a protective order issued by Judge Michael Canaday on February 20.

Tuttle was previously arrested on January 25, for domestic abuse battery involving the victim and as part of his probation, Tuttle was released from the Calcasieu Correction Center on February 11 and ordered to stay away from the victim and her residence.

On February 24, deputies received a report from the victim advising she had received text messages and phone calls from Tuttle, whom she had an active protective order against, and he had also shown up to her home.
On February 25, at approximately 8:30 a.m., deputies received a second complaint from the victim advising Tuttle was currently outside of her home. Tuttle fled the scene before deputies arrived but was quickly located and arrested without incident. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with stalking; and violation of a protective order.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On September 21, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report from a woman advising since January 2013, she has received numerous harassing phone calls, letters and emails from Dallas L. Hanson, Jr., 52, 2899 Sugarloaf Drive, Lot # 80, Lake Charles, an ex-acquaintance, and he has also shown up at her home and place of employment even after numerous requests not to do so.

After further investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Hanson, and on January 7, Hanson was located and arrested at his home without incident. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with stalking; and cyberstalking.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 6, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies re-arrested Joshua C. Gibson, 29, 113 E. Mimosa Drive, Sulphur, after he violated a stay-away order issued by Judge Ron Ware.

On January 4, Gibson pled guilty to unauthorized use of a movable stemming from a September 2012 arrest in which an investigation revealed he had borrowed a vehicle from an elderly family member and failed to return it. As part of his probation, Gibson was released from the Calcasieu Correctional Center and ordered to stay away from the elderly victim.

On January 6, CPSO detectives were dispatched after receiving a complaint from the elderly victim advising she had received several phone calls from Gibson and he has also shown up to her home even after numerous requests not to do so.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On September 10, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Lake Charles home in reference to a report of stalking and elderly abuse.

Upon arrival, deputies were advised over the past month, Patrick C. Miller, 55, 5000 Leon Drive, Lot #198, Lake Charles, has made several threatening and intimidating phone calls to two family members and has also shown up at their homes on numerous occasions.

During further investigation, CPSO detectives discovered Miller had also physically abused one of the family members, by grabbing the 84 year old victim with both hands and shaking him violently.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On August 4, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Lake Charles apartment complex after receiving a report from a woman advising Gerald B. Debarge, 47, 1330 W. McNeese Street, Apt. # 1102, Lake Charles, had made several harassing comments to the victim on numerous occasions since June and began leaving notes on her vehicle.

During further investigation, CPSO detectives discovered Debarge has a lengthy criminal history which includes multiple charges of stalking and violation of restraining orders, and also has a history of violence when coming into contact with law enforcement officers.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On August 30, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Garrett M. Lumpkin, 31, Lake Charles, after he violated a protective order stemming from a 2010 arrest. CPSO deputies received a report from a woman advising she had recently received numerous harassing and intimidating phone calls from Lumpkin, with whom she had an active protective order against. She also reported that Lumpkin had shown up to multiple public events she was attending and tried to talk to her, and on one occasion Lumpkin had grabbed her by the shoulder. View full article »
