ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Sheriff Tony Mancuso announces taxpayers will be able to pay their 2013 property taxes online on the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office website at www.cpso.com by using a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card. Taxpayers may also view and print their bill from the website.

“We are always looking for ways to make it more convenient for the taxpayers to pay their taxes,” says Sheriff Mancuso. “If you choose to pay online, there will be no lines to stand in and you will be able to pay your taxes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On February 6, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vehicle Crimes Investigative Unit (VCIU) received information regarding possible stolen property located at the home of David B. Parker, Jr., 25, 2734 Opelousas Street, Lake Charles.

Upon arrival, detectives spoke with Parker and received consent to search his home and recovered over $20,000 worth of items that had been reported stolen from three separate homes in 2012 including a zero-turn lawnmower, a tractor, brush hog, and a utility trailer.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On February 27, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer at Washington-Marion High School in Lake Charles responded to a report of a student in possession of firearm on school campus.

Through the investigation, deputies learned a 16 year old male student, who had not been at school since December, threw a backpack and jacket he was carrying to fellow student Shaiqwan Marshall, 17, when confronted by school officials.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On 1-2-13, The Lake Charles Police Department arrested three subjects for firing multiple caliber rifles in Two Kings Trailer Park located at 1740 6th Ave. These subjects were identified as Corey James Anderson, Emmanuel Joseph Robert, and Daniel Ellsworth.

These three subjects fired their weapons on three separate occasions over a span of two days. Through the course of the investigation, it was learned that Anderson intentionally fired his rifle into several trailers. One of the trailers hit multiple times was occupied by a family. A female victim in this trailer was struck in the head with one of Anderson’s bullets. Detectives removed nine firearms from the suspect’s possession. All three suspects have extensive criminal histories.

CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR 2ND DEGREE BATTERY

The Lake Charles Police Department is investigating twenty criminal damage to property incidents that occurred in central and south Lake Charles from December 23, 2012 to December 27, 2012. Several vehicle and business windows were damaged by an air soft, BB, or pellet gun.

Lake Charles Police is also investigating sixty-one criminal damage to property reports of the same nature that occurred between November 24, 2012 and November 25, 2012.

CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR 2ND DEGREE BATTERY

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — The Lake Charles Police Department is investigating 61 criminal damage to property reports that occurred between the hours of 9:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 and 5:30 a.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012.

More that 60 vehicles and several area businesses were damaged Saturday night and early Sunday morning with damages estimated at approximately $50,000.00 dollars.  In several cases, victims had windows shot out on more than one vehicle parked in their driveway.
