The 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson is physically fine after being taken to a hospital early Wednesday, an attorney for Jackson’s mother said.

Perry Sanders Jr. writes in a statement to The Associated Press that Paris Jackson is getting appropriate medical attention and the family is seeking privacy.

Fire and sheriff’s officials confirmed they transported someone from a home in Paris’ suburban Calabasas neighborhood for a possible overdose but did not release any identifying information or additional details.

In the wake of a family dispute that spilled into the media, the living arrangements and guardianship of Michael Jackson’s three children are expected to be determined by an upcoming court hearing.

A lawyer representing Katherine Jackson, the pop superstar’s 82-year-old mother, said he will file legal documents that would make the children’s cousin TJ Jackson a co-guardian. The plan appears designed to remove pressure from Katherine Jackson who was named in her son’s will as the children’s sole guardian.

Guided by a thumping bass line from their backing band, the Jackson brothers strut forward to a row of four microphones, thrusting their pelvises along the way, before launching into “Can’t Let Her Get Away,” a song their superstar sibling released on his “Dangerous” album. If they had afros and matching powder blue suits, it might feel like 1977 again.

It doesn’t. They’re casually sporting sunglasses, workout gear and a few more pounds than when they, along with the future King of Pop, were simply known as the Jackson 5. (Also, “Can’t Let Her Get Away” was released in 1991 after the group fizzled out.)

PepsiCo Inc. is going on a reunion tour with The King of Pop.

The Purchase, N.Y.-based company on Thursday announced its deal with the estate of Michael Jackson to use the late pop star’s image for its new global marketing push. The nature of the promotion will vary by country, but will include special edition cans bearing Jackson’s image, a TV ad in some markets and chances to download remixes of some of Jackson’s most famous songs.

Pepsi, which first partnered with Jackson in 1983, did not disclose the terms of its deal with the singer’s estate.

A Los Angeles judge sentenced Dr. Conrad Murray to four years in jail Tuesday for the involuntary manslaughter death of Michael Jackson.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said Tuesday that Jackson died because of Murray’s criminal negligence, and denied the defense’s request for probation.

Murray, 58, is to serve out the four years in Los Angeles County jail, according to Pastor’s ruling. He could serve less than the four year sentence because of overcrowding in California jails. View full article »

Dr. Conrad Murray would NOT be on trial today for Michael Jackson‘s death … had he politely declined to speak with cops 2 days after MJ passed … law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Sources directly connected with the decision to prosecute Murray tell TMZ … Murray’s 2-hour interview with LAPD detectives at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina del Rey gave prosecutors the ammo to charge the doc.

The promoters of the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert have heard fans loud and clear — Gene Simmons, who has accused Michael of being a pedophile, and his band KISS, have been dropped from the roster.

The honchos in charge of the Michael Jackson Estate are threatening the people behind the Michael Jackson Tribute concert, claiming the promoters have sullied Michael’s name and are possibly even ripping off the Estate.

Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Estate, fired off a letter to promoters of the concert — set for October 8 in Wales — expressing displeasure that one of the bands that will be performing is KISS, whose guitarist, Gene Simmons, publicly accused MJ of being a hard-core child molester.  View full article »
