TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — The LCPD is currently investigating three armed robberies. The robberies occurred as followed:

On Thursday, December 18, 2014 at approximately 1:36 AM, the TOUCHDOWN CONVENIENCE STORE, 3216 Gerstner Memorial Drive in Lake Charles, LA, was robbed by a black male.

On Thursday, December 18, 2014 at approximately 8:45 PM, the TOBACCO PLUS, 2626 Gerstner Memorial Drive in Lake Charles, LA, was robbed by a black male.

LCPD: Days Inn – Recovered Stolen Vehicle

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at approximately 11:22 a.m., the Lake Charles Police Department received a call that a stolen vehicle was parked outside of motel room #141 at 1212 N Lakeshore Drive (Days Inn) Lake Charles, LA. The complainant informed responding officers that the occupants of the vehicle were also in that room.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On November 3, 2014 at 6:30 p.m., Lake Charles Police Sergeant John Benoit was dispatched to I-10 near the Kirkman Street overpass in reference to an Auto/Pedestrian crash.

The pedestrian was identified as Mr. Justin Cameron of Lake Charles. Mr. Cameron was on I-10 walking east-bound along the side of the roadway when he was impacted by the vehicle driven by Mr. Harold Gee of Lake Charles.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On October 6, 2014 at approximately 1:15 a.m., police believe Brandon Valyan entered the Shell Station at 3400 Enterprise Boulevard and stole two cartons of cigarettes before fleeing the store.

On October 13, 2014 at approximately 12:45 a.m., Police believe Valyan robbed the Shell Station at 3400 Enterprise Boulevard of several cartons of cigarettes.

Person found dead in 2600 block of Dillard Loop

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA.– On October 28, 2014 at approximately 4:41 p.m., Officers with the Lake Charles Police Department were dispatched to the 2600 block of Dillard Loop in reference to a deceased male discovered by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival the Officers were advised by Sheriff’s Deputies that they had been attempting to track a shoplifter from Walmart when they observed a tent in the wooded area. Upon further investigation, skeletal remains of a male were discovered intact in the tent.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On October 12, 2014 at 4:15 p.m., Officers of the Lake Charles Police Department were dispatched to a local convenience store for an armed robbery.

The investigation revealed that the suspect attacked the store clerk while armed with a knife and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 2:07 a.m., Officers with the Lake Charles Police Department were dispatched to 2706 Allen Street in reference to a shooting. The caller stated that two individuals were shot and one possibly deceased.

Upon arrival, Officers found one individual deceased and one subject was in need of medical attention due to a gunshot wound. A third subject was also located and in need of medical attention from being beaten.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On August 28, 2014 at 4:14 a.m., Officer Ryan Gaspard and Officer Tony McGee were dispatched to the 3200 block of 2nd Avenue in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, Officer Ryan Gaspard made contact with the victim and her husband. They informed Officers that they were south bound on 2nd Avenue, stopped at the stop sign at 8th Street, when a light skinned black male wearing a grey Nike hoodie and purple LSU shorts approached the passenger side window and pointed a black handgun through the open window. The suspect told the victim to give him her phone and unlock the pass code and she complied.

LCPD: CAT Team Arrest on I-10

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at approximately 9:45 a.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near mile marker 26 eastbound on I-10, for a traffic violation.

The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Darnell Leggett (B/M DOB: 12/23/1983) of 12939 Seagrest Drive, Houston, TX claimed to be traveling to Gonzales, LA. During the traffic stop, Detectives observed Leggett began to act suspicious and show nervous indicators. Following the traffic stop, Detectives requested permission to search the car. Leggett gave written permission to search the vehicle.

A subsequent search was conducted and revealed a black taped bundle concealed under the center console containing approximately (2.2 lbs of cocaine) and a baby bottle on the passenger seat containing 3 ounces of liquid codeine.
