Investigators examine Burned-Wreckage in Deadly Train Crash

Federal investigators began examining the burned-out wreckage at the site of a deadly commuter train crash Wednesday, looking for clues that might explain the baffling behavior of a woman whose SUV was stopped between the descending crossing gates.

Six people were killed in the rush-hour collision between the train and the SUV Tuesday evening.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Crimes Unit are attempting to locate an unknown male in reference to a forcible rape. He is known to frequent Club Y2K, which is located on Broad Street and Kings Travel Plaza, which is located at Shattuck Street and I-10 in Lake Charles.

The man sells clothing belts outside of those establishments. He appears to drive a blue Dodge full size truck, possibly a four door or extended cab truck with a bed cover and oversized rims. He answers to the name of “Ceasar”.

CPSO investigates Single Car Fatality

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On October 29, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to call of a single car accident involving three teenage boys.

Initial investigation revealed that three juveniles were on Idlebrook Road in Moss Bluff in an SUV belonging to one of the juvenile’s parents. At one point two males got on the roof of the car with their feet on the inside of an open sunroof.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice Division received complaints of possible prostitution at the Asian Massage Parlor located at 242 W. Hale Street in Lake Charles which resulted in a 10 month investigation where detectives learned prostitution activity was being performed inside the massage parlor.

LCPD: Shooting on 11th Street

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Friday, July 25th, 2014 Officers with the Lake Charles Police Department were dispatched to the 2300 block of 11th Street in reference to a male subject being shot.

Responding Officers located a 24 year old male on the sidewalk that had been shot. Acadian Ambulance treated the victim before being transported to a local hospital. The victim is listed in critical condition.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — At approximately 9:00 p.m. this evening a deputy with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation at the corner of Evans and Carr St. in Lake Charles. The driver of the vehicle, Evelyn M. Dargin, 33, stopped and got out of the vehicle but as the deputy was approaching, she fled in her vehicle.

CPSO investigating Homicide in Sulphur

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Shortly before 7:00 a.m. today, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a welfare concern at 1026 Koonce Rd in Sulphur. A family member called to say she had not seen or spoken to her relative, Pamela Parker, in a couple of days.

When deputies arrived and entered the home, they found Parker, 66, deceased in her home. Time of death is undetermined at this time; however her death has been ruled a homicide.

CPSO looking for suspect who attempted to steal ATM

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On July 14 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a burglary alarm that had been triggered on the ATM at Jeff Davis Bank located at 4989 E. McNeese Street in Lake Charles.

Upon arrival, deputies learned an unknown man stole a forklift from a nearby construction site then drove the forklift to the bank, and in an attempt to open the bank ATM, rammed the ATM numerous times, moving it from its foundation and destroying it in the process. The suspect was unable gain access and no cash was stolen.

CPSO looking for man in Delta Downs Theft

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On May 21, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Delta Downs Casino in Vinton in reference to a report of a theft.

Upon arrival, deputies reviewed surveillance video from inside the casino which revealed an unknown white male searching through a casino employee’s locker and steal a purse which contained several items including cash, credit and debit cards, a checkbook, and social security cards.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying this man. Anyone with information regarding the theft or the suspect shown in the pictures is asked to call CPSO at 491-3605 or email at info@cpso.com.
