CPSO investigating Homicide in Sulphur

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Shortly before 7:00 a.m. today, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a welfare concern at 1026 Koonce Rd in Sulphur. A family member called to say she had not seen or spoken to her relative, Pamela Parker, in a couple of days.

When deputies arrived and entered the home, they found Parker, 66, deceased in her home. Time of death is undetermined at this time; however her death has been ruled a homicide.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Sunday, March 2, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local casino on Sam Houston Jones Pkwy, Moss Bluff, in reference to an armed robbery.

Upon arrival deputies spoke with the store clerk who advised a man entered the store brandishing a handgun and demanded money. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled the store on foot heading northwest towards a nearby wooded area on N. Perkins Ferry Road. The Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive search of the area but was unable to locate the suspect.

Philip Seymour Hoffman death: Police investigating possible drug buy at ATM

Investigators are trying to track down surveillance video at a bank where a man told cops he witnessed what he believed was Philip Seymour Hoffman buying drugs from two men the night before his death.

A man told police he saw the actor withdraw large amounts of cash at an ATM at a bank near Hoffman’s West Village apartment at about 8pm Saturday night. He said he saw Hoffman hand over the cash and appear to purchase drugs from two men, both wearing messenger bags, who appeared to be working together.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On May 4, 2013 approximately 23:40 hours Lake Charles Police Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Moeling Street in regards to a shooting. Upon arrival at a residence in the 2100 block of Moeling officers found two victims shot.

According to victims, there was a gathering at this residence when they heard a knock on the door. Upon opening the door two unknown suspects dressed all in black with hoodies over their heads and red bandannas covering their faces entered armed with a weapon and demanded money from all parties.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — The Lake Charles Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred at a local store on December 1, 2012 at 6:15 p.m. The two black female suspects can be seen in this video entering the store. They went to the liquor aisle and placed several bottles of alcohol in their purses. The suspects then fled the store after being confronted by management.

We are asking for assistance in identifying the suspects seen in this video.

Today around noon CPSO  deputies were dispatched to 427 Bankens Road in Sulphur regarding a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim had been shot by his son, Chad Peshoff, 42. The victim was subsequently air lifted to a local hospital and his condition is currently unknown. A motive for the shooting is not known at this time.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On July 30, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Westlake bar in reference to a burglary.

The investigation revealed during the late night hours, three men, later identified as Sedric L. Green, 20, 229 Prater Road, David D. Johnson, Jr., 21, 521 Prater Road, both of Sulphur, and Travis T. Lafleur, 23, 4314 Dutchess Street, Westlake, pried open the front door of the bar to gain entry and once inside broke open the ATM machine, stealing over $2,000 cash.

CPSO ARRESTS MOSS BLUFF MAN FOR BURGLARY IN PROGRESS

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On March 4, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to The Drug Store, 872 Sam Houston Jones Parkway, Moss Bluff, in reference to a burglary alarm being activated.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the deadbolt of the front door was broken. After deputies checked the store for possible suspects, the pharmacy owner arrived and was able to run a drug inventory report which revealed over $4,500 worth of narcotics medications, including approximately 7000 Hydrocodone tablets, 700 Morphine tablets, 575 Oxycodone tablets, 575 Oxycontin, and 130 Soma tablets, had been stolen. Two wounded men, 23 and 24, arrived at the Ochsner Medical Center Monday night with gunshot wounds, according to preliminary reports. The 23-year-old was shot once; the 24-year-old had multiple wounds, officer Hilal Williams said.
