ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 11, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a burglary in progress at a home on S. Perkins Ferry Road in Moss Bluff.

The caller advised there was a man, later identified as Terry J. Young, 54, 1008 Sistrunk Street, Moss Bluff, stealing several items from her garage and placing them in his truck.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On September 13 around 9:30 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a possible burglary in progress at a home on Tallow Road in Lake Charles.

The caller advised he observed a suspicious truck driven by a man, later identified as Gregory A. Jones, 54, 4257 5th Avenue, Apt. 111, Lake Charles, pull out from behind the home with numerous tools and equipment belonging to the homeowner in the back of the truck.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA –During the early morning hours of Thursday, May 10th, 2012, Lake Charles Police Department Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 4700 block of Sale Lane in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon Officers arrival, they located numerous vehicles that were broken into on Sale Lane, Ardmore Street, Powell Lane, and W. McNeese Street.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On May 1, around 6:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a mobile home business located on Broad Street in reference to a burglary in progress.

When deputies arrived, they observed a man, later identified as Mitchell R. Colton, 47, 2302 Cypress Street, Lake Charles, fleeing the property of the business on a bike with a large curio cabinet.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On February 17, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a suspicious truck parked behind a business on Highway 90 East in Lake Charles.

When deputies arrived, they observed large ruts on the ground from a vehicle driving in the wet grass, leading to the back of the business where the truck was parked. Once inside the building, deputies discovered Nathan W. McDonald, 31, Iowa, going through numerous boxes stored inside the business. McDonald was found to be in possession of several tools used to commit a burglary, including a screw driver and bolt cutters. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On December 14 around 2:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a burglary alarm at a local store on Lake Street in Lake Charles.

When deputies arrived, they discovered the back door of the business was open and had been damaged. After deputies cleared the store checking for possible subjects, the store manager arrived and was able to access video surveillance footage. The video captured a man entering through the back door of the store and stealing miscellaneous items. After viewing the video, deputies were able to get a detailed description of the suspect, including the clothing he was wearing. View full article »

CPSO ARRESTS MOSS BLUFF MAN FOR BURGLARY IN PROGRESS

This evening Eric Scott Radio has learned that on July 20th Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a house on Joe Miller Road in Moss Bluff in regard to a man breaking into multiple vehicles in the area.

While in route to the location of the burglaries, deputies were notified that the owner of one of the burglarized vehicles was in a foot pursuit with the suspect, later identified as Devin P. Vezinat, 17, 1484 Joe Miller Road, Lot # 1, Moss Bluff. Vezinat was quickly located and apprehended by deputies at his house. View full article »
