TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Detective Michael Nicosia with the Lake Charles Police Department Sex Offender Registry attempted to locate James Lee Braxton, who is a Tier 3 Louisiana Sex Offender who is required to register in the state of Louisiana for life. Braxton listed an address on Moss Street and he could not be located there for several weeks. Detective Nicosia located and arrested James Braxton who admitted he was not living on Moss Street, but was staying with friends.

Braxton was convicted in 2001 for Forcible Rape. Braxton’s victim was a 14 year old female. Braxton was also convicted in 14th Judicial District Court on October 18, 2013 for Failure to Register/Notify as a Sex Offender.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On September 30 at approximately 8:00 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence because the owner arrived home and found Christina M. Holt, 33, 101 Tousaint Road, Lot 111, Lake Charles, who is a registered sex offender, to be staying with the owner’s roommate. Holt was sleeping at the home because she got into an altercation with her boyfriend.

When deputies spoke with Holt she did not have the proper identification on her and she stated that she was previously released from jail in Baton Rouge on August 15 and has been staying in Lake Charles for approximately one month where she has failed to register.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On September 13 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped Robert A. Dill, 42, 2473 Houston River Rd., Westlake, who appeared to be intoxicated and was walking on the side of the road trying to stop vehicles for a ride.

A check by the deputy revealed Dill was a registered sex offender and he did not have any form of identification, which is required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Dill was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator (no I.D. in possession); and disturbing the peace.
Judge Sharon Wilson set his bond at $1,500.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Unit arrested convicted sex offenders Renado R. Keelen, 28, 2412 Elms Street, Lake Charles, and William R. Prielipp, 27, 1516 McKinley Street, Westlake, after an offender status check revealed both had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three (3) days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Keelen, who was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in June 2007 in Dallas, Texas, was arrested on July 9 and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $25,000.

Johnson, 44, 101 Toussaint Road, Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed he failed to renew his Louisiana sex offender identification card, making him in violation of his sex offender registration requirements.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested convicted sex offender Wesley T. Lummus, 23, 2010 Patton Street, Lot # 7, Sulphur, after an investigation revealed he created several user profiles and accessed numerous Internet social media website, as prohibited by law for sex offenders of certain crime with juvenile victims.

Lummus, who was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Calcasieu Parish in February 2011, also failed to provide every email address, online screen name, or other online identifier used to communication on the internet to law enforcement before it was used, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Lummus was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 10 counts unlawful use of social networking website; and 1 count failure to register as a sex offender.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 30, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested convicted sex offender Raymond D. Lowery, 26, 2353 Royal Oak Lane, Sulphur, after an investigation revealed he failed to comply with his annual in-person registration as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Lowery, who was convicted of indecent behavior with a 6 year old juvenile in Vernon Parish in September 2009, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 23, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies observed a man walking in the middle of the street.

When deputies spoke with the man, James G. Guidry, 59, Lake Charles, it was discovered the address listed on Guidry’s Louisiana driver’s license was outdated and he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three (3) days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 20, convicted sex offender Lonnie C. Franklin, 45, 1721 St. John Bosco Road, Westlake, was arrested after an investigation revealed he failed to comply with his in-person registration within three days of being released from a correctional facility, as required by law for all sex offenders.

Franklin was previously arrested by CPSO on July 14, 2013, after an investigation revealed he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three (3) days. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2nd offense failure to register as a sex offender. After being released on February 19, 2014, Franklin failed to comply with his in-person registration within three days of being released from a correctional facility, as required by all registered sex offenders.
