C.A.T Team makes Pot Bust on I-10

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On November 13 at approximately 11:00 a.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Detective Sgt. Derek Goss conducted a stop on a vehicle near mile marker 38 traveling eastbound on I-10 for a traffic violation.

When Sgt. Goss spoke with the driver, Joseph Zamora, 23, California, and the passenger, they began to act suspiciously. Zamora and the passenger also gave conflicting stories about their reason for travel. Sgt. Goss detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and observed marijuana in plain view.

TSA wants Law Enforcement at Checkpoints

Polio-like Disease appears in California Children

An extremely rare, polio-like disease has appeared in more than a dozen California children within the past year, and each of them suffered paralysis to one or more arms or legs, Stanford University researchers say. But public health officials haven’t identified any common causes connecting the cases.

The illness is still being investigated and appears to be very unusual, but Dr. Keith Van Haren at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University warned Monday that any child showing a sudden onset of weakness in their limbs or symptoms of paralysis should be immediately seen by a doctor.

Hollywood Earthquake is third in 10 days

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake that was centered near Hollywood and shook parts of the Los Angeles basin Saturday morning was the third temblor to hit the area in the last two weeks.

The latest quake occurred at 10:13 a.m. at a depth of 5.0 miles and was felt from the Westside to East L.A., said Anthony Guarino, a seismologist at Caltech.

Man fell asleep while burglarizing Home

A Santa Ana man has been charged with burglary after allegedly stealing cell phones and a PlayStation console from a home — and falling asleep next to the owners.

Ruben Diego Ortega, 20, was arrested and booked into the Santa Ana Police Department Jail after a homeowner reported finding him inside the house about 8 a.m. Saturday.
