TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On May 12, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress at a home on Gant Road in Sulphur. While en route, deputies were advised by a witness that she observed a male, later identified as Joshua Langford, 23, 1207 Ravia Rd. #81, Sulphur, leaving the residence with a window unit. The witness was able to give deputies a description and license plate number of the vehicle seen leaving the scene.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 27, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a house on Joe Primeaux Road in Hayes in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who stated she had been staying with a family member since before Christmas and when she returned back to her home she noticed some of her jewelry was missing.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On August 6 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives completed an investigation where three new residences under construction had been vandalized between August 4-5. Detective learned Brady M. Picard, 20, and Kaleb T. Gwin, 19, both of 4100 Sherry St., Sulphur, had entered the homes under construction and cut copper wire from the walls and breaker boxes.

All of the new homes had to be completely rewired.

CPSO arrests man for Burglary & Theft of Church

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — At 7:00 a.m., on June 26, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a burglary alarm that had been triggered at a church on Prater Road in Sulphur.

Upon arrival, deputies were advised a man, later identified as Reginald J. Poullard, 36, 4014 Reeves Avenue, Sulphur, shattered a window on the back door and entered the church. Poullard rummaged through the church and the church office, but when confronted by a church employee, he fled on foot.

While reviewing surveillance video from a nearby business, deputies recognized Poullard, who was seen on the video walking toward the church prior to the burglary, and running from the church following the burglary. A few hours later, deputies located Poullard hiding in the attic of his home. When questioned by deputies, Poullard confirmed the allegations.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 11, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched the area of Goodwin and Stevenson Street in Vinton regarding a suspicious man removing several tools from a wooded area.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the man, identified as Charles K. Bruno, 53, 1617 Vincent Street, Vinton, and discovered he was in possession of several tools including a torque wrench, wrench set, a drill bit set and a socket set, valued at over $1,100, which did not belong to him.

Deputies also recovered a fishing rod and reel in a nearby ditch. During further investigation, deputies discovered Bruno had an active warrant for contempt of court on unrelated charges. Bruno was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and released on April 16.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On May 2, at approximately 8:15 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a home on Lightner Street in Iowa in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who advised when returning home he discovered a woman, later identified as Desireah A. Chapman, 34, 503 N. Kinney Street, Iowa, loading items into the back of an SUV which was parked in the front yard. When Chapman saw the homeowner, she fled in the SUV at a high rate of speed. A witness was able to get a detailed description, including the license plate number, of the SUV Chapman fled in.
During the investigation, the victim discovered several items were stolen from his home including cleaning supplies, a tackle box, cast iron pots and a gaming console controller and several video games.

Upon Officer’s arrival, it was discovered that a Coca Cola truck had been entered and a mobile printer and a lunch box containing blood pressure medication had been stolen.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 3, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local casino parking garage regarding a vehicle burglary.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who advised an iPad and a black luggage bag containing several other items valued at over $950, were stolen from his vehicle that was parked in the casino parking garage.

During further investigation, video surveillance of the parking garage captured a man, later identified as Dustin W. Bowdoin, 31, 130 W. Hale Street, Lake Charles, entering the victim’s vehicle and stealing the iPad as well as the black luggage bag containing several other items.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 11, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a burglary in progress at a home on S. Perkins Ferry Road in Moss Bluff.

The caller advised there was a man, later identified as Terry J. Young, 54, 1008 Sistrunk Street, Moss Bluff, stealing several items from her garage and placing them in his truck.
