ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On November 11, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies patrolling in the area of Enterprise Blvd. and Broad Street observed a female running down the street screaming for help. When deputies spoke with the female, she advised Larry W. Loya, 54, 759 Louisiana Avenue, Apt. # 2, Lake Charles, an acquaintance, forced his way into her home armed with a large kitchen knife. Once inside, Loya pushed the victim to the ground, struck her several times in the face and attempted to stab her several times as she attempted to flee.
The victim was able to escape out of a door of her home and flag down deputies for help.
