ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:40 pm, Officers with the Lake Charles Police Department were dispatched to the Walgreen’s Pharmacy located at 2636 Ryan St. in reference to a report of an Armed Robbery. Officers were given a physical and clothing description of the suspect who had just robbed the pharmacy area of the store.

Investigation revealed that a white male, later identified as Jessie P. Rogers, of Lake Charles entered Walgreen’s and approached the pharmacist. Mr. Rogers then stated that he wanted to pick up his prescription. When the pharmacist advised that the prescription could not be located Rogers produced a weapon demanding that he be given bottle of Dilaudid. After obtaining the bottle of Dilaudid, Rogers fled the scene.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Thursday, November 14, 2014 at approximately 6:00 pm, officers of the Lake Charles Police Department responded to a call of an Armed Robbery at “Nero’s Barber Shop” located at 2509 Poe Street.

Upon the officers arrival, they were advised that two black males had entered the barber shop and pointing hand guns at the three persons inside the business. The suspects then ordered all three victims to empty their pockets. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash the suspect’s fled the building. As they did so they fired several rounds into the barber shop. No one was struck and no injuries were reported.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On November 7th, 2013 at 8:55 pm, Lake Charles Police Corporal Kyle Young was dispatched to 2224 See Street, later found to be abandoned, in reference to an Armed Robbery.

Upon arrival Cpl Young made contact with victim who advised they were delivering a pizza for a local business to order to complete a phone-in order. When the victim arrived at this address they were approached by a black male suspect who pulled a firearm & robbed the victim at gunpoint. The armed suspect was accompanied by another black male suspect during this incident.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — The Lake Charles Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery at 2202 Common Street, Lake Charles, LA that occurred on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

The suspect is described as a B/M, 6’1” to 6’3”, 170 to 180 lbs., slim to medium build, wearing a blue pull over hoodie, red/white/blue t-shirt, long blue jean shorts, white with black trim tennis shoes, and a blue homemade mask covering his face.

The suspect is armed with an OLD MODEL REVOLVER WITH LONG BARREL, BLACK IN COLOR.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On June 8, 2013 at approximately 12:16 a.m., Lake Charles Police Corporal Keith Bertrand and Corporal Brenda Desormeaux were dispatched to 4447 Lake St (Shop Rite) for a hold up alarm.

Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the store clerk who stated a black male suspect entered the east side door displaying a black revolver while ordering him to open the register. The black male suspect removed money from the register and took a carton of Kool cigarettes before fleeing the store. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a blue/white/red hooded type long sleeved shirt, long light blue jean shorts, and white tennis shoes. He was wearing black gloves and brandishing a black long barreled revolver in his right hand.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 3, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to an armed robbery at a home on Gelpi Drive in Lake Charles.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim who advised two men, later identified as Jacobie D. Lede, 17, 2127 2nd Street, and Dorian D. Malbreaux, 20, 1432 Commercial Street, both of Lake Charles, came to his front door brandishing a handgun and demanded money. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, Lede and Malbreaux fled on foot.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On the night of April 5, 2013, a person who saw the media release regarding the suspect who robbed the Valero gas station and Simple Pleasures adult store recognized him at a local casino and notified police. The suspect, Jordan James, was in the company of Gregory Holt. Both James and Holt were detained and eventually arrested. They are both currently incarcerated at the Calcasieu Correctional Center on charges related to the robberies. Thank you to our local media partners and all of the concerned citizens who provided information on this case.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 4, 2013 at approximately 5:50 p.m., a dark complected white male committed an armed robbery with a firearm at Simple Pleasures (2024 Kirkman Street.) He was described as having black hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt with white stripes on the sleeves, a blue t-shirt, and blue jeans. The suspect held the clerk at gunpoint and threatened to shoot her if she did not give him the money from the register. After taking the money from the register, he fled the store and was last seen running west on 13th Street.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 2, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a mobile home in Lake Charles in reference to a domestic battery.

Upon arrival, deputies were advised Steven W. Sturlese, 20, 2500 Smith Road, Lot # 63, Lake Charles, ex-boyfriend of the victim, entered the victim’s home and demanded money. When the victim refused, Sturlese grabbed her by the hair and pulled her into the bedroom where he began striking her causing her head to go through the wall and also put a knife to her throat.

After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, Sturlese fled in the victim’s vehicle before deputies arrived.
