ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. – On August 28, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Southside Machine Shop and Custom Metal Fabricators, both in Lake Charles, regarding two separate reports of theft.  After speaking with both businesses, deputies discovered numerous pieces of round stainless steel piping, worth over $1,600, was stolen from Southside Machine Shop and over $2,500 worth of flat stainless steel sheets were stolen from Custom Metal Fabricators.

During further investigation, deputies received video surveillance from Southside Machine Shop which captured a man, later identified as Joseph P. O’Quain, 40, 305 Evelyn Street, Sulphur, entering the yard of the business and stealing several pieces of stainless steel piping.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — During the early morning hours of January 17, a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy patrolling in Sulphur observed three individuals, later identified as Larry W. Cain, 30, Sulphur, Melinda L. Cain, 29, Hackberry, and Jeremy P. Broussard, 40, Sulphur, at the Anthony Ferry Boat Launch.

Further investigation by the deputy revealed Larry and Melinda Cain, and Broussard were in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On October 12, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a report in reference to a theft that occurred a few days before.

The investigation revealed on October 2 the victim went to a home in Moss Bluff to inquire about a baby walker for sale. The next day, the victim noticed her wallet, which was inside her car and contained her driver’s license, her food stamp card, and over $200 in cash, was missing. View full article »

On September 8 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Cpl. Kevin Hoover and Cpl. Chris Johnson with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) observed an SUV and a car traveling together east on I-10 near mile marker 7. After observing both vehicles commit traffic violations, Cpl. Hoover and Cpl. ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — on August 12, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex on McNeese Street in reference to multiple thefts of undergarments from multiple victims.

When deputies arrived and spoke with two of the victims, they alleged Teresa C. Gonzales, 40, Lake Charles, stole multiple pairs of their panties out of the dryer in the apartment complex laundry room. View full article »
