TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On December 4, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputies conducted a stop on a car driven by Ryan L. Royer, 33, 615 W Napoleon Street, Apt 20, Sulphur, near the intersection of E Napoleon Street and Hwy 90 in Sulphur for a traffic violation.

When the deputies approached the car and spoke with Royer they detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the his breath. Royer advised deputies he had drunk a bottle of whiskey and a beer. Royer was very unstable and unable to complete the standard field sobriety testing. Royer submitted to a breath intoxilyzer test, which concluded he was over the limit.

imageTOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On November 9, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop in Lake Charles for a traffic violation. The driver, Shawn R. Ducre, 34, 2421 11th Street, Lake Charles was driving north bound on Martin Luther King Blvd. when deputies heard loud music coming from his car. When they approached Ducre, he had a strong odor of alcohol beverages emitting from his body.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On September 13, at approximately 4:00 a.m., a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputy conducted a stop on a car driven by John W. Butler, 33, 1102 Summit St., Lake Charles, near the intersection of Highway 14 and Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles for driving without headlights. The deputy also discovered Butler was driving while under suspension for a prior DWI 2nd conviction.

Butler performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, and refused to submit to a breath intoxilyzer test. He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. While being booked Butler was found to be in possession of a white pharmaceutical pill for which he did not have a prescription.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES,LA. — On September 9, at 11:34 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop in Lake Charles on a car driven by Joshua J. Arceneaux, 25, 2333 Poplar Street, Lake Charles, for a traffic violation. He performed poorly on the field sobriety test. Arceneaux was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with DWI 3rd; operating a vehicle while under suspension for two prior DWI arrests – one in 2010 and the other in 2011; and a traffic violation.

Judge Sharon Wilson set his bond at $8,500 with special conditions of bond being Arceneaux cannot operate a vehicle without a valid driver’s license and he cannot operate a vehicle without ignition interlock device.

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On June 14, at approximately 6:00 a.m., a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputy conducted a stop on a car near the intersection of Highway 90 and Dennis Road in Sulphur for a traffic violation.

When the deputy approached the car and spoke with the driver, Lance J. Williams, 29, 2733 Alice Street, Lake Charles, he detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath and he appeared very unsteady on his feet. The deputy also discovered Williams was driving while under suspension for a prior DWI 2nd conviction.

After Williams performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, he was arrested and transferred to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office where a breath intoxilyzer test revealed he was over the legal limit.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On May 8, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Topsy Road and Vines Road in Moss Bluff.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the car appeared to have run off the road and into the ditch. When the deputy approached the car and spoke with the driver, Cheryl A. Granger, 58, 134 Pine Lane, Ragley, he detected her speech to be very slurred and she appeared very unsteady on her feet.

After Granger performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, she was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Granger, who has two prior DWI arrests since 2011, was charged with DWI 3rd; and careless operation, and released on a $10,000 bond set by Judge Kent Savoie.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 25, at approximately midnight, a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputy conducted a stop on a truck near the intersection of Broussard Road and Patton Street in Sulphur for a traffic violation.

When the deputy approached the truck and spoke with the driver, Kevin D. Delaughter, 45, Natchez, Mississippi, he detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath and he appeared very unsteady on his feet. Delaughter advised the deputy that he had been drinking prior to driving.

After Delaughter performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, he was arrested and transferred to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he refused to submit to a breath intoxilyzer test.
