In early 2007, the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) received several complaints regarding Terry T. Holmes, 37, 405 Booker Street, DeQuincy, distributing powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana to street level dealers in the DeQuincy area. ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On February 14, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local business regarding an employee stealing from the company.

When deputies arrived, they were advised after confronting employee Andrew G. Menard, Jr., 37, Sulphur, concerning some equipment that had come up missing from the company, Menard confirmed to stealing from his employer on several occasions over the last 4 years.  View full article »

A witness described a red truck at the home at the time of the burglary. It was discovered that one of the credit cards was used to purchase gas at a store in Lacassine later that day. A man whose murder conviction was overturned after 17 years behind bars was released Tuesday from a Los Angeles jail.

Family members screamed and cried when Obie Anthony, 37, walked out of the Twin Towers jail at about 7:40 p.m., four days after the judge’s decision.

After his release, Anthony told reporters he read self-help books during his incarceration and kept his faith in God. He said he had no anger and believed the justice system worked.

Anthony struggled to express his emotions about his newfound freedom. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On September 20, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding Max A. Myers, 37, Lake Charles, physically abusing a 13 year old family member.

During the investigation deputies were advised that Myers grabbed the 13 year old girl by her hair and threw her to the floor. Myers then dragged the girl through the house and outside to their dog’s water bowl and pushed her face into the water bowl. View full article »
