ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On April 11 at approximately 6:30 a.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Detective Sgt. Jeff Cole conducted a stop on a rental car for a traffic violation near mile marker 32 eastbound on I-10.

During the traffic stop, Sgt. Cole allowed his K-9 “Basco” to conduct a free air sniff of the air around the car. After Basco alerted to the odor of narcotics, Sgt. Cole conducted a search of the car and recovered luggage bags from the trunk of the car containing approximately 11.5 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $23,000.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On December 24, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded after receiving a call regarding a sexual battery of a juvenile. The caller advised she witnessed Jeffrey W. Cormier, 36, Hayes, having inappropriate sexual contact with an 8 year old girl. After further investigation Cormier, who is an acquaintance of the victim’s family, was arrested and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with sexual battery. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On November 5 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding George B. Clarke, 36, Westlake, having inappropriate sexual contact with a 12 year old family member.

After an investigation, Clarke was arrested on December 7 and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated incest. View full article »

Weaver, 29,  and Dagiel Mathews, Jr., 36, both of Moss Bluff, who are brothers, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at the Lucky Star Casino in Moss Bluff on August 29.
