ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On June 3, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home on 10th Street in Lake Charles in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who advised when she returned home, she discovered her door had been forced open, damaging the door and the door frame, and multiple household items, including a washer and dryer, DVD player, laptop computer and a microwave, were stolen.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On May 9, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Sulphur business regarding an employee stealing materials.

During the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance video from inside the business which revealed employee Paul V. Longpre, 34, 620 Pearl Street, Sulphur, stealing over $15,000 worth of nickel tubing from the shop area of the business.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On March 13, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Criminal Patrol Sgt. Jeff Cole conducted a stop on an SUV traveling east on I-10 near mile marker 15 for a traffic violation.

When Sgt. Cole spoke with the driver, Sandra M. Lopez, 25, 8721 Town Park Drive, Houston, and passenger Hector E. Aguilera, 34, 76046 Carretera Colombia Street, Monterrey, Mexico, they began to act suspiciously. After receiving permission from Lopez to search the SUV, Sgt. Cole allowed his K9 “Basco” to conduct a free air sniff of the air around the car. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On February 10, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a call from a victim regarding several checks stolen from his home.

After realizing the checks had been stolen, the victim contacted his bank and discovered $2,500 worth of checks had been written at several local stores between February 1 and February 10.

During the investigation, detectives were able to access video surveillance footage from two of the stores, which captured Pauline M. Cunningham, 34, Lake Charles, a family acquaintance of the victim, using the victim’s checks to make purchases. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On October 25, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home on Mark LeBleu Road regarding a report of theft and criminal damage to property.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim who advised while checking on his property, he noticed a piece of equipment in his field had been dismantled, and parts, valued at over $1,000, were stolen from it. View full article »
