ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On September 26, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Detective Cpl. Kevin Hoover conducted a stop on a car traveling eastbound between Vinton and Sulphur for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the driver of the car, Alton J. Gobert, 25, 114 Begnaud Drive, Lafayette, began to act suspiciously.

After receiving consent from Gobert, Cpl. Hoover conducted a search of the car and recovered a black duffle bag in the trunk of the car containing 1 1/2 pounds of high grade marijuana, with an estimated street value of $9,000, and three Tupperware containers of marijuana cookies, marijuaname candy.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested Kevin M. Jenkins, 25, who was wanted for 2nd degree battery; battery on a police officer; resisting arrest; and possession of marijuana with intent.

On April 23 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Jenkins’ apartment, 1024 Walters Street, Apt. # 108, Lake Charles, to investigate a complaint regarding drug activity at the apartment.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — UPDATE: SUBJECT HAS BEEN ARRESTED! On April 23 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to 1024 Walters Street, Apt. # 108, in Lake Charles to investigate a complaint regarding drug activity at the apartment.

When deputies arrived and spoke with tenant Kevin M. Jenkins, 25, they observed several half-burnt cigarettes containing a green-leafy substance inside the apartment. After receiving permission to search the apartment, deputies recovered a bag from the top of Jenkins’ closet which contained 6 bags of marijuana.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On March 13, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Criminal Patrol Sgt. Jeff Cole conducted a stop on an SUV traveling east on I-10 near mile marker 15 for a traffic violation.

When Sgt. Cole spoke with the driver, Sandra M. Lopez, 25, 8721 Town Park Drive, Houston, and passenger Hector E. Aguilera, 34, 76046 Carretera Colombia Street, Monterrey, Mexico, they began to act suspiciously. After receiving permission from Lopez to search the SUV, Sgt. Jeff Cole conducted a stop on a car near mile marker 30 traveling east on I-10 for a traffic violation. The driver of the car, Phillip A. Conage, 25, and passenger Johnathan M. Neal, 29, both of Tampa Bay, Florida, told the detective they were traveling back home to Florida from Dallas. View full article »

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On November 1, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding an 8 month old baby who was brought into a local hospital by his mother with a head injury. Medical tests determined the baby had a skull fracture.

The mother, Angela M. Hunter, 25, Lake Charles, stated the baby had been in her care and the injury had occurred between noon and 2:00 p.m. that day but she had no explanation for his injury. View full article »
