C.A.T Team makes Codeine Bust on I-10

TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 7 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Detective Cpl. Chad Booth conducted a stop on a car near mile marker 42 traveling eastbound on I-10 for a traffic violation.

When Cpl. Booth was talking with the driver of the car, Jameson Smith, 26, Jackson, MS, he began to act suspiciously. Cpl. Booth then spoke with the two passengers of the vehicle, Kyle Paige, 26, and Javier Prophet, 23, both of Jackson, MS, who were also acting suspiciously and had conflicting stories about their travels. Cpl. Booth asked for permission to search the car but Smith refused.

On Thursday, December 18, 2014 at approximately 1:36 AM, the TOUCHDOWN CONVENIENCE STORE, 3216 Gerstner Memorial Drive in Lake Charles, LA, was robbed by a black male.

On Thursday, December 18, 2014 at approximately 8:45 PM, the TOBACCO PLUS, 2626 Gerstner Memorial Drive in Lake Charles, LA, was robbed by a black male.

Justin Bieber to be charged with Vandalism

Justin Bieber will be charged in Los Angeles in an egg-throwing incident in January that damaged a neighbor’s home, prosecutors said.

The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said Bieber will be charged Wednesday with one count of misdemeanor vandalism.

The pop singer will not be present for the 1:30 p.m. arraignment at Superior Court in Van Nuys, DA spokeswoman Jane Robison said.

Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress Wednesday that a serious national security leak required the secret gathering of telephone records at The Associated Press as he stood by an investigation in which he insisted he had no involvement.

Pestered by Republicans and some Democrats, Holder testified that he has faith in the individuals conducting the broad investigation, driven in large part by GOP outrage last year over the possibility that administration officials leaked information to enhance President Barack Obama’s national security reputation in an election year.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES LA. — On March 22, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a school in DeQuincy after receiving a complaint from school officials regarding Mary A. Jordan, 42, 719 Roland Patillo Road, DeQuincy, physically abusing a 10 year old family member who is a student at the school.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Jordan struck the victim on his back with a belt, causing multiple severe bruises.

After further investigation, Jordan was arrested on March 22 and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with cruelty to a juvenile. She has been released on a $15,000 bond set by Judge Robert Wyatt.

Senior defense officials say Pentagon chief Leon Panetta is removing the military’s ban on women serving in combat, opening hundreds of thousands of front-line positions and potentially elite commando jobs after more than a decade at war.

The groundbreaking move recommended by the Joint Chiefs of Staff overturns a 1994 rule prohibiting women from being assigned to smaller ground combat units. Panetta’s decision gives the military services until January 2016 to seek special exceptions if they believe any positions must remain closed to women.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 9, 2013 at 5:58 p.m., the Lake Charles Police Department responded to 1701 Sunset Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, the victim was located at a neighbor’s residence with an apparent gunshot wound. Gary Jonathan Thibodeaux was identified as the shooter and located inside his residence at 1701 Sunset Drive.

He was arrested without incident and booked for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital. The suspect has a lengthy criminal history including an arrest for 1st Degree Murder.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On December 27, 2012 at 6:30 a.m., Disha Deshawn Hayes was arrested on an active warrant at her residence, 1505 McNabb Street. The warrant was for armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm, and theft of a motor vehicle. Her bond was set at $50,000.00

Albert Jenkins, 1521 Tennessee Street, was also arrested for 2 counts of armed robbery, 2 counts of armed robbery with a firearm, and theft of a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $325,000.00.

ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 1, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to an armed robbery of a man walking in the area of N. Highway 171 and Graham Street.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim who advised two boys, later identified as a 13 and 15 year old juvenile, one of which was brandishing a handgun, approached him and demanded money. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the juveniles fled on foot.
