TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On August 28, 2014 at 4:14 a.m., Officer Ryan Gaspard and Officer Tony McGee were dispatched to the 3200 block of 2nd Avenue in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, Officer Ryan Gaspard made contact with the victim and her husband. They informed Officers that they were south bound on 2nd Avenue, stopped at the stop sign at 8th Street, when a light skinned black male wearing a grey Nike hoodie and purple LSU shorts approached the passenger side window and pointed a black handgun through the open window. The suspect told the victim to give him her phone and unlock the pass code and she complied.

On August 28, 2014 at approximately 4:32 a.m., Detective Willie Fontenot was dispatched to the 3200 block of 2nd Ave to handle follow up investigation on this armed robbery. The suspect was described as a black male, light complexion, stocky build wearing LSU shorts. The suspect, Kedrick Berry, was identified by the victim. Kedrick Berry was arrested by Officer Ryan Gaspard in addition to Antoine Jamar Vital as a co-conspirator/co-defendant in this crime.
