TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On August 6 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives completed an investigation where three new residences under construction had been vandalized between August 4-5. Detective learned Brady M. Picard, 20, and Kaleb T. Gwin, 19, both of 4100 Sherry St., Sulphur, had entered the homes under construction and cut copper wire from the walls and breaker boxes.

All of the new homes had to be completely rewired.

Picard and Gwin were booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.

Picard was charged with 3 counts of burglary; 2 counts of theft under $500; 3 counts criminal damage to property from $500 to $50,000; and 3 counts theft of copper. His bond was set at $28,000. Gwin was charged with 6 counts of burglary; 4 counts of theft under $500; 3 counts of theft of copper; and 4 counts of criminal damage to property from $500 to $50,000. His bond is set at $32,000.

CPSO Sgt. James Reed, Sgt. Ross Vartuli and Detective Glen Lowery are the lead investigators on this case.
