TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On July 13 at approximately 6:25 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle accident at the intersection of York Lane and W. Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the truck appeared to have run off the road and into the ditch. When the deputy approached the truck and spoke with the driver, Jeremy O. Dupont, 40, 6917 Wilder Road, Lake Charles, he detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath, his speech to be slurred and he appeared very unsteady on his feet.

After Dupont performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, he was arrested and transferred to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, where a breath intoxilyzer test revealed he was over the legal limit. Dupont, who was convicted of DWI 3rd in March 2009 in Houston, was charged with DWI 4th; and careless operation.

Judge Sharon Wilson set his bond at $10,500.

CPSO Deputy Christopher Scharp was the arresting deputy on this case.
