TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On June 23, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Lake Charles home in reference to a battery.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Chad L. Parker, 23, Lake Charles, struck a mentally disabled elderly family member numerous times in the face, head and neck, causing apparent swelling.

After further investigation, deputies arrested Parker during which he became irate, spitting at and verbally threatening deputies. Parker also kicked the back window of the deputy’s patrol car, breaking a camera valued at over $500.

Parker was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with simple battery of the infirmed; threatening a public official; resisting an officer (simple assault); and simple criminal damage to property over $500.

Judge Michael Canaday set his bond at $170,000.
