TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On June 13, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to assist CPSO Warrants detectives with executing an arrest warrant for convicted sex offender Stephen R. Johnson, 44, 101 Toussaint Road, Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed he failed to renew his Louisiana sex offender identification card, making him in violation of his sex offender registration requirements.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered convicted sex offender Paul E. Harris, 31, also of 101 Toussaint Road, Lake Charles, also failed to renew his Louisiana sex offender identification.

Both Johnson, who was convicted of sexual battery in May 1994 and April 1999, both in Lafayette Parish, and Harris, who was convicted of indecent behavior with juveniles in May 2004 in Calcasieu Parish, were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as sex offenders.

Judge Clayton Davis set their bonds at $5,000 each.

CPSO Detective Allison Toups is the lead investigator on both cases.
