TOTALLY HITS RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On June 14, at approximately 6:00 a.m., a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputy conducted a stop on a car near the intersection of Highway 90 and Dennis Road in Sulphur for a traffic violation.

When the deputy approached the car and spoke with the driver, Lance J. Williams, 29, 2733 Alice Street, Lake Charles, he detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath and he appeared very unsteady on his feet. The deputy also discovered Williams was driving while under suspension for a prior DWI 2nd conviction.

After Williams performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, he was arrested and transferred to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office where a breath intoxilyzer test revealed he was over the legal limit.

Williams was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with DWI 3rd and released on a $3,000 bond set by Judge Sharon Wilson.

CPSO Deputy Ben White was the arresting deputy on this case.
