ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On Saturday, April 12, 2014 at approximately 4:43 a.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Detective Corporal Kevin Hoover conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near mile marker 31 Eastbound on I-10 for a traffic violation.

The driver of the vehicle, Chaddrick Vashwan Landry (B/M DOB 08/31/1984) of 6566 E Monarch Street, Baton Rouge, LA, claimed to be traveling from Sulphur, LA to Baton Rouge, LA. Corporal Hoover then learned that Landry had an active warrant and he was placed under arrest. Corporal Hoover then deployed his K-9 Mako and obtained an odor response on the vehicle.

A subsequent search was conducted and revealed a trash bag in the bed of the truck under the bed cover containing approximately 11 pounds of marijuana.

Landry was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS I (Marijuana) with intent to distribute. He was booked in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on his active warrant.

The estimated street value for the contraband is $10,000.00. Bond was set at $150,000.00 by Judge Richard Wilson
