ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — In August 2013, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a complaint from a woman advising her mental health therapist, Christopher K. Hay, 41, 3857 S. Jasmine Drive, Lake Charles, sexually assaulted her during a counseling session at his office.

When appearing before the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners on September 18, 2013, Hay confirmed he made sexual comments and had inappropriate sexual contact with the victim, during counseling sessions, and consented to the revocation of his Licensed Professional Counselor license.

After a 7 month investigation, Hay was indicted on 1 count of sexual battery by a Calcasieu Parish Grand Jury on March 27 and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On March 28, Hay turned himself into the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office and was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He was released on a $20,000 bond set by Judge Robert Wyatt and ordered to stay away from the victim.
