ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 15, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies patrolling on Corbina Road in Lake Charles stopped to assist the driver of a car broken down on the side of the road.

When deputies spoke with the driver of the car, Jessie H. Lindley, 27, 1124 Cactus Drive, Lake Charles, they observed a large bundle of welding leads covered in wet grass inside the car. When questioned by deputies, Lindley confirmed he stole the welding leads off of a welding machine located in the yard of the home where his car was broken down.

Lindley was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with criminal trespassing; theft over $500; and criminal damage to property over $500.

Judge Ron Ware set his bond at $10,000.

The stolen welding leads were recovered by deputies and returned to the victim.

CPSO Sr. Cpl. Nathan McKee and Deputy Justin Sittig were the arresting deputies on this case.
