ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On 03-09-14 at 8:46pm Lake Charles Police Officers responded to a call of a drive –by-shoot that occurred in the 2400 block of 12th St. At the time the call came in officers where giving a description of the suspect vehicle. Cpl. M. Romero was in the area and observed the vehicle leaving the area of the shooting and conducted a stop. Seven people where in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

When other officers and investigators arrived at the scene it was determined that the victim’s home had been shot multiple times as well as rocks thrown at the house. According to the victim the suspects arrived at the residence earlier in the day looking for someone who did live at the victim’s residence. Apparently they did not believe the victim when they were told the person did not live there and went back to the home later and committed the act.

When the incident occurred the victim was home and heard popping sounds and unknown objects striking the house. The victim looked outside and was able to see and recognized the suspect vehicle from the earlier contact. The victim then contacted 911.

Evidence supporting the victim’s complaint was located and the following subjects were arrested:

Renee L. Vallaire, 25 years of age, residing at 1302 Dryden Ave., Copperas Cove, Tx.
Jamar J. Vallaire, 22 years of age, residing at 1302 Dryden Ave., Copperas Cove, Tx.
Earl Miller Dauntain Jr., 18 years of age, residing at 6310 Coteau Rd., New Iberia, La.
Giovannte J Vallaire, 19 years of age, residing at 2124 Green Acres St. Lake Charles, La.
Phylicia Nicole Cormier, 19 years of age, residing at 2124 Green Acres St. Lake Charles, La.
Florita Marie Journet, 41 years of age, residing at 2124 Green Acres, Lake Charles, La.
Addie M. Vallaire, 17 years of age, residing at 2124 Green Acres St. Lake Charles, La.

The above subjects were all charged with:

Assault by Drive by Shooting
Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
Illegal Use of a weapon or dangerous Instrumentalities.

Bond was set at $14,000.00 per person by Judge Ron Ware.
