ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On 02-25-2014 at 8:23 p.m. Lieutenant Robert Rhodes a 30-year veteran of the Lake Charles Police Department was issued a misdemeanor summons for DWI under LARS 14:98.

The summons was the result of a patrol officer being on routine patrol in the area of Pryce Street and Ann Street and seeing a vehicle stopped in the roadway. Upon making contact with the driver it was determined that the driver was Robert Rhodes.

Believing that Robert Rhodes was possibly ill he was brought to a local hospital. Once there it was suspected that Robert Rhodes was possibly impaired.

Rhodes was asked to submit to a chemical test for intoxication and refused. He was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
