ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 29, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were dispatched regarding the welfare of a 2 year old boy who had been brought into a local hospital.

During the investigation, detectives questioned Daniel L. Hunsucker, 35, and Amanda E. Feemster, 24, both of 1654 W. Burton Street, Sulphur, and both family members of the 2 year old boy. Hunsucker advised detectives during an argument with Feemster inside their home, he became upset and knocked a door off of the hinges causing the door to fall on the boy, causing a laceration and bruising on his back. Hunsucker and Feemster also advised detectives they smoke synthetic marijuana in front of juvenile family members.

After further investigation, detectives received consent to search Hunsucker and Feemster’s home and recovered several open bags of synthetic marijuana and several burned hand rolled cigarettes containing suspected marijuana.

Hunsucker and Feemster were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and both charged with possession of marijuana; possession of CDS in presence of juveniles; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hunsucker was also charged with cruelty to a juvenile.

Judge Ron Ware set Hunsucker’s bond at $29,000; and set Feemster’s bond at $3,500.
The victim was removed from the home by the Department of Children & Family Services.
