One thousand, one hundred and ten (1110) vehicles were checked; four (4) field sobriety tests were administered. Leigh Ann Bullock, 53, 5240 Bell Springs Road, Dripping Springs, Texas, was arrested for DWI 1st.

The following were arrested for possession of marijuana and released on a misdemeanor summons:

Devin R. Bernard, 21, 1625 Sunset Drive, Lake Charles
Alisha D. Lartigue, 19, 1120 11th Street, Lake Charles
Cody D. Lastrapes, 19, 1117 Sage Drive, Lake Charles

Gerry L. Monceaux, 55, 10104 Gulf Highway, Lake Charles, was arrested for driving under suspension for prior offenses; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia and released on a misdemeanor summons.

Joey A. Vanbrocklin, 21, 3919 Houston River Road, Westlake, was arrested for driving under suspension for prior DWI’s and released on a misdemeanor summons.

“Our deputies have been very aggressive in getting impaired drivers off the road. The fact that over 1,000 cars were checked and only 1 person was arrested for DWI proves these checkpoints and details are very effective in discouraging citizens from driving while impaired and people are designating a driver when they know these details are being done,” says Sheriff Tony Mancuso.
