ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 22, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) Detective Sgt. Jeff Cole conducted a stop on a car traveling eastbound on I-10 between Vinton and Sulphur for a traffic violation.
When Sgt. Cole spoke with the driver, Emily T. Wallace, 31, 1022 Huge Wallace Road, Lafayette, he detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the car.
During a subsequent search of the car, Sgt. Cole recovered a can with a screw type false bottom, containing approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine. He also recovered a small bag on her person containing approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine, and 2 partially burnt marijuana cigarettes, along with a spoon, and a syringe from inside the car.
Wallace was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with possession of CDS II (meth); possession of CDS I (marijuana); and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Her bond has been set at $205,100.
