ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On April 3, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to an armed robbery at a home on Gelpi Drive in Lake Charles.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim who advised two men, later identified as Jacobie D. Lede, 17, 2127 2nd Street, and Dorian D. Malbreaux, 20, 1432 Commercial Street, both of Lake Charles, came to his front door brandishing a handgun and demanded money. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, Lede and Malbreaux fled on foot.

The Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive search of the area but was unable to locate Lede or Malbreaux.

After further investigation, arrest warrants were issued for Lede and Malbreax. On April 5, CPSO detectives in conjunction with the CPSO Anti-Crime and Tactics (ACT) Team located and arrested Lede without incident and on April 6, CPSO deputies located and arrested Malbreaux without incident.

Lede and Malbreaux were booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and both charged with armed robbery; and armed robbery with a firearm. Lede is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Judge Michael Canaday set Lede’s bond at $450,000; and set Malbreaux’s at $350,000.
