ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On March 28, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General Store, 5725 Highway 14, Lake Charles, in reference to an armed robbery.

Upon arrival deputies spoke with the store clerk who advised a man entered the store brandishing a handgun and demanded money. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled the store on foot.

The Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive search of the area but was unable to locate the suspect. He is described as light skin black man, between 25 and 30 years of age, approximately 5’10”, side burns, a thin mustache, and wearing prescription glasses. He was wearing a grey hoodie, black jeans, and black dew rag under a black baseball cap.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying this man. If anyone knows anything about this robbery, please call CPSO at 491-3605 or Crimestoppers at 439-2222.
