ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On February 6, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vehicle Crimes Investigative Unit (VCIU) received information regarding possible stolen property located at the home of David B. Parker, Jr., 25, 2734 Opelousas Street, Lake Charles.

Upon arrival, detectives spoke with Parker and received consent to search his home and recovered over $20,000 worth of items that had been reported stolen from three separate homes in 2012 including a zero-turn lawnmower, a tractor, brush hog, and a utility trailer.

On March 1, Parker, who is currently incarcerated in the Calcasieu Correctional Center in connection with a February 24 burglary and theft at a business on Swisco Road in Sulphur, was re-arrested and charged with 3 counts of illegal possession of stolen items over $1,500.

Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $7,500.
