ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On February 2, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies observed a 14 year old boy sitting inside a car at the I-10 beach parking lot with an older man, later identified as Micah P. Woodward, 30, 1733 N. Michael Square, Moss Bluff, after park hours.

After further investigation revealed Woodward was engaging in inappropriate sexual activity with the victim, Woodward was arrested and transported to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, where the investigation was turned over to detectives.

When questioned by detectives, Woodward advised he used a social media site to make contact with the victim and stated he never met the juvenile until this incident. Woodward also advised detectives that he picked the juvenile up from his home and confirmed he performed oral sex on the juvenile prior to deputies arriving at the I-10 beach.

Woodward was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile; contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile; and criminal trespass.

On February 4, Woodward was released on a $35,500 bond set by Judge David Ritchie.
