ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 18, detectives with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) conducted an investigation at a home at 710 East College Street in Lake Charles.
During a voluntary search of the home, detectives discovered several chemicals consistent with the creation or operation of a clandestine lab and also located two active meth labs inside the home. During further search, detectives also located methamphetamines, marijuana, several types of narcotics, and drug paraphernalia inside the home.
Lake Charles Fire Department was called to the home for precautionary reasons.
Detectives arrested Eva N. Sensat, 32, Richard P. Verret, 46, both of 710 E. College Street, and Melanie Barber, 40, 1496 Sutherland Road, all of Lake Charles. All were booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and all charged with two counts creation/operation of a clandestine lab; possession of CDS II (meth); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sensat is also charged with possession of CDS IV (Xanax); and two counts of possession of a legend drug.
Judge Ron Ware set Barber’s bond at $13,500; Sensat’s bond at $20,500; and Verret’s bond at $14,500.
The investigation is on-going and more arrests are possible.
