ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On January 6, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies re-arrested Joshua C. Gibson, 29, 113 E. Mimosa Drive, Sulphur, after he violated a stay-away order issued by Judge Ron Ware.

On January 4, Gibson pled guilty to unauthorized use of a movable stemming from a September 2012 arrest in which an investigation revealed he had borrowed a vehicle from an elderly family member and failed to return it. As part of his probation, Gibson was released from the Calcasieu Correctional Center and ordered to stay away from the elderly victim.

On January 6, CPSO detectives were dispatched after receiving a complaint from the elderly victim advising she had received several phone calls from Gibson and he has also shown up to her home even after numerous requests not to do so.

Deputies located and arrested Gibson without incident and he was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He is charged violation of his probation; and 1 count of stalking and is being held without bond.

CPSO Detective Mike Primeaux is the lead investigator on both cases.
