ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On November 8, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a convenient store on Beglis Parkway in Sulphur regarding an employee stealing from the company.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the owner of the business who advised when checking the balance of the deposits made by the employees of the store on November 5, she discovered over $800 cash was missing.

During further investigation, when detectives spoke with store cashier Candace M. Johnson, 29, 1207 Ravia Road, Lot # 68, Sulphur, she confirmed she stole the cash.

Johnson was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged theft over $500. She has been released on a $1,000 bond set by Judge Wilford Carter.
