ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA. — On August 31, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Lake Charles home in reference to a theft.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who advised after accidentally leaving his cell phone, an Apple iPhone worth over $500, at a local restaurant, he returned to find his cell phone was gone.

During further investigation, detectives discovered Justin P. Guillory, 22, 874 Waynewood Drive, Lake Charles, sold the stolen cell phone to a local store for cash.

When questioned by detectives Guillory confirmed he stole the cell phone at the restaurant, removing the victim’s information from the phone, and selling it to the local store for cash.

The stolen cell phone was recovered by detectives and returned to the victim.

On September 11, Guillory was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correction Center and charged with theft over $500. Judge Ron Ware set his bond at $5,000.
