ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On March 8, a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to an abandoned mobile home on Ravia Road in Sulphur in reference to a report of a burglary.
Upon entering the mobile home to check for possible suspects, the deputy detected a strong odor of chemicals coming from the back bedroom. Once inside the master bedroom, the deputy discovered a clandestine lab inside the closet that had malfunctioned and was emitting chemicals.
Detectives with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) arrived and discovered two active meth labs inside the mobile home. Haz-Mat was called to dismantle and clean up the active meth labs.
After further investigation, detectives located Wesley J. Guidry, Jr., 21, 607 McArthur Street, Sulphur, at a Lake Charles motel and arrested him in connection with the meth lab on Ravia Road. He booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with creation/operation of a clandestine lab.
