ERIC SCOTT RADIO | LAKE CHARLES, LA — On March 9, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded in reference to shots fired inside a mobile home at 5003 Highway 14 East in Iowa.
When deputies arrived and spoke with the homeowner, Joleen J. Treadway, 41, they immediately detected a strong odor of chemicals coming from inside the mobile home. Once inside, deputies discovered several chemicals that were consistent with creation or operation of a clandestine lab.
Detectives with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) arrived and determined Treadway was in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine. Haz-Mat was called to dismantle and clean up the active meth labs.
Treadway was arrested and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with creation/operation of a clandestine lab; possession with intent of CDS II (meth); and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Judge David Ritchie set her bond at $102,500.
