CPSO ARRESTS FLORIDA MAN WANTED BY US MARSHAL'S OFFICE

Eric Scott Radio learned this morning that on July 21, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a restaurant on Ryan Street in reference to a disturbance involving Kip I. Mulinix, Jr., 26, 103 Blackley Street, Crestview, Florida.

When deputies arrived, their investigation revealed Mulinix had been released on Federal supervised probation for a 2010 conviction for smuggling aliens. He also had a federal warrant out for his arrest from the United States Marshal’s Office regarding probation violation for leaving the state of Florida. After running the license plate number of the vehicle Mulinix was driving through NCIC, the deputies discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen in Florida.

Mulinix confirmed to deputies that he had stolen the vehicle from Florida and was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with illegal possession of stolen things over $1,500.

Judge Ron Ware set his bond at $5,000.
